About the Project
Bui Division in Cameroon is made up of a population of almost 500 000 People, with more than 30% being under the age of 16. Most of the communities live in rural areas with farming as their main activity. Children growing up and attending school in such communities often face illnesses such as hair fungi (Hair Disorder), diarrhea and dandraw, due to improper sanitation practice.As an organization that specializes in childhood walfare, and understanding the importance of proper sanitation to the development of the child, we have brought up an initiative to promote cleanliness and proper hygene practise amongst pupils of select schools.
The project consist of:
⦁ Free talks and training on hygiene and sanitation
Follwoing a specialized timeline, our team of trained hygene personel will offer free serminars to pupils in schools (1 Serminar per School, each lasting an hour) on the advantages of proper hygene and sanitation, and educate them on how to keep proper hygene and sanitationn so as to avoid such illness.
⦁ chose sanitation ambassador per school
To ensure that the pupils put into practise the lessons learned from the training, a Sanitation Ambassador will be selected per school, to propoage the sanitation ideals and coordinate pupils to proper sanitation. The Ambassador will also act as a link between each school and Muutos foundation, recieving info and providing feedback on the welfare of each school progrram.
⦁ Shave the hairs of select pupils
As a courtesy gesture, Muutos Foundation, personel through a third party partnership will offer free hair shaving for pupils in a school
